6 ways to reuse your tea bags

Don't throw your tea bag!

In this post I wanted to share with you some tips to be a more eco-minded tea drinker 💡

Here are some tips we can all use in our daily life !

Make the most of your tea bag

This first tip may sounds silly, but we don't always think about it! Did you know that a tea bag can easily be reused twice?

Get rid of bad smells

Tea is a very good odour neutralizer. You can put tea bags in your shoes, your fridge, your trash bin, your cupboards... The smell of the tea is sweet and light, besides the major benefit is that there is something for everyone with the tea!

Spice up your meals

Use your leftover tea to enhance your cooking! Try to put your tea bag in your cooking water, the taste of the tea is perfect to flavour your rice for instance. 🤤

Take care of your skin

Surprising isn't it? Tea has relaxing and skin-soothing properties. You can use it to bathe your feet or hands on cold winter evenings. You can also use tea bags to erase you under-eye bags and dark circles in the morning.

Cure yourself

Used by our grandmothers in the past, tea can heal small superficial wounds. Press it on the area and it will reduce the pain and speed up the healing process!

Compost tea leaves

Last but not least, don't forget to compost your tea! If it is biodegradable, you can compost the whole tea bag, otherwise just keep the leaves. You can then use it as a fertiliser for your garden. You can even water your plants with slightly infused water to boost them, tea is full of nutrients!

Finally, don't forget to choose loose tea over packaged tea, drink from reusable containers and be careful about how much water you pour!

You are know a conscious tea drinker! I hope you liked this post. See you soon for other teaventures... 🍵
